“Rubik’s Miniatures” is Andy’s earliest foray into data sonification, having devised a system of translating Rubik’s cube algorithms into music. Within this system, color and rotation are mapped to notes. Other musical parameters such as note duration, register, dynamics, and the use of harmony are chosen by the composer.
